Meet The Team

Founder, Publisher, Editor, Emotion Coach
Amanda Wais
Hi there! I'm a transformational speaker, international award-winning author and publisher. Everything I do centers on rekindling authentic human connection and elevating consciousness.
With over a decade of experience in the publishing industry, my passion lies in helping survivors write their powerful story and entrepreneurs write the book that takes them to the next level.
As a certified transformational facilitator, I bring a powerful blend of expertise and empathy to every conversation I have. My journey as a mother to a sweet little boy with Down syndrome has deepened my understanding of the gifts in seeing the light within ourselves and others—a perspective I share with audiences, clients and friends to inspire lasting, positive change.

Proofreader
Lily Behm
My name is Lily, and I’ve been in the proofreading industry for three years. I love this work because reading brings me deep joy and I love helping writers polish their literary works.
My areas of focus and expertise are spelling, punctuation, and an overall attention to the details. In working with me, you can be assured that I'll catch the little mistakes that may otherwise be caught by your readers.

Editor, Proofreader
Jon Osborn
My name is Jon Osborn, but friends call me Ozzy. I’ve been writing for nearly 20 years, and I’m an author, editor, freelancer, and newspaper columnist.
I love writing for several reasons. For one, transforming emotions into words taps into a creative vein like nothing else can. Plus, putting pen to paper offers a cathartic release valve for life’s joys, sorrows, and frustrations. While those are great perks, maybe the most amazing aspect about writing is the people I meet, including fellow authors, editors, poets, artists, and creative types from all walks of life.
Navigating the writing waters together makes the experience far more comfortable and achievable. I’m passionate about mentorship and helping aspiring authors breathe their work into life. I’m committed to offering encouragement, guidance, and honest critique to draw out the stories that are simmering inside you.
If you choose to collaborate with me, I promise honest feedback, a sounding board for your frustrations, and straight-talk about organization and improvement. Together we can convert your feelings into words, your words into sentences, your sentences into chapters, and your chapters into amazing books.

Editor, Proofreader, Emotion Coach
Brandis Rawls
I am Brandis, and I have a robust background in hospitality management, having served for several major hotel brands. I am well-versed in the intersections of public service, economic development, and community care making me uniquely positioned to facilitate healing leadership spaces for elected officials and civic leaders and authors like yourself.
I also started BMoRaw, an authentic way for me to serve as a co-founder and facilitator with Love & Healing Work. This work allows me to blend strategic insight with more spiritual heart-centered praxis. Whether guiding meditation or hosting workshops and retreats, I create spaces where courage, clarity, and care can co-exist: spaces where “Everybody Wins."
As far as editing and proofreading go, I can't help but pick apart a book that could have been bolder here or is missing proper grammar there. Everybody wins when we do our best work.

Editor
Dr. Sarah Jefferis
I serve as an intuitive writing coach/editor for professionals at any stage of their creative project across multiple genres. I love helping people explore messy emotional topics and write through deep reflection questions. As an editor, I like helping people get to the heart of the matter through sensory detail.
For me, writing is a full-body sport.
I hold an MA in Creative Writing and Literature from Hollins University, an MFA in Poetry from Cornell, and a PhD in Creative Writing. I have over 20 years of teaching creative writing in higher education and am currently a visiting faculty member at the Dyson School of Business at Cornell.
I am a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher, and I wholeheartedly integrate group yoga classes with my Mat-to-Pen yoga writing workshops in the corporate and Higher Education spaces. I believe the mat is a place to honor the creative spirit within and that yoga is for everybody.
As a speaker, I talk about leadership, DEI and Belonging, Writing as Medicine, food insecurity, poverty, and surviving sexual assault in the Episcopal Church.

Marketing Specialist, Emotion Coach
Jessica "Rockstar" Thompson
I’m Jessica “Rockstar” Thompson—a transformational coach, speaker, and brand hype strategist who helps authors move from hidden to highlighted. Known as The Hype Girl for Authors, I specialize in amplifying voices, clarifying personal brands, and turning powerful stories into confident, visible movements. With a background in marketing, coaching, and storytelling, I partner with authors to build belief, momentum, and bold visibility—so their message doesn’t just get written, it gets seen, heard and felt.
This program complements the Cheeky Scribe mission beautifully by supporting the human behind the book—ensuring authors don’t just finish their manuscript, but feel empowered to stand behind it.
I’m truly honored to collaborate with Cheeky Scribe in this capacity and excited about the impact we can make together for authors who are ready to be seen.
