Well, hello there!
We have a very special person back in our lives!
Imagine you just walk out of the office buliding at this spread out, scenic, cabin-filled camp. As you do, you hear over the loud speaker, "Attention please! Attention please! Now paging, from The Woods, Breaedeeeeeen Rogerrrrrrrrrs!"
And if that's not enough of a fanfare, you suddenly see your precious child for the first time in seven weeks running. Running at you with his arms outstretched shouting, "Mom! That's my mom!"
And although you're both running toward each other, it still feels like it takes forever until you finally meet on the pathway between the office and his cabin.
And when you swoop down to hug the most precious person you've ever known, the tears you held back from the previous weeks drain down your face and you don't care who sees them. Your little person is finally back in your arms.
Thank you, Esa for taking pictures.
But then you realize that you may be squeezing a little too tight, so you ease up and look that precious person in the eyes and tell them how much you love them and that you missed them sooooo much.
Kind of a special moment, eh?
You better believe it.
I couldn't even write that without a little tear popping out. It's so wonderful to have my little guy back.
He is still himself, but with a bit more independence to be able to help himself with daily activities without prompting. I am so relieved and grateful!
There is a lot to say, but I can't say it all here.
I do have a couple photos of happiness to share, though.
We stopped at Canyon Falls on our way back from Big Bay. He loved it! It took us a while because he says hello to every single person and has to meet and pet everyone's dog. Haha! I just can't take that away from him.
Canyon Falls in the spring has much more water flowing and many less people. Take that for what you want.
A couple days ago we went to "The Creek," one of his favorite spots. It sure is more fun with him there.
We are goofs, and I love it.
Please be assured that we are well. It's still summer in the harbor, and the weather and bug status have both been perfect. Also, just sayin. Wink.
Copper Harbor's Art in the Park is this weekend! Can you believe that? You know that drill, but here's one you might not know.... many local authors will be on the porch at Grandpa's Barn during that time too! Including yours truly! Here's the scoop.
And did you listen to our latest podcast episode? Oh, what a doozy! Jeremiah Mason, the area's main archivist, talks about restoring the Gull Rock lighthouse on Manitou Island. Click here to listen. I'll let the rest surprise you.
Thanks for reading! Remember that anything is possible, so make it wonderful!
