Blizzards and Snuggles

Hi!

Today is a travel day, so I'm sneaking this in before we go.

B and I made it to central Wisconsin to fly out of the Wausau airport on Sunday with a dear friend. But alas, our plane never came.

And we watched a blizzard out of the window the whole time. I mean, they got nearly seven inches of snow right there on the runway during the six hours we waited for our plane.

It was such a blizzard that B and I stayed overnight in a "hotel" until my parents came to pick us up the next day once the weather cleared. Oof. they drove through a blizzard to get us to the airport and back on Sunday, but they are family and midwestern nice, so they took us and hoped for the best.

It wasn't the best, but it could have been worse. The flights rebooked so fast from all the other delayed passengers that we wouldn't have been able to get to Arkansas for his spring break to see his dad's family until Wednesday evening.

So we stayed in Wisconsin.

It's okay because we are really supported here. My parents are great, and today we will travel to see Brady's other grandparents. They live in the woods, and their place is a sanctuary to me. I must go there and do some healing because I truly wore myself out.

Again.

But there is a lot going on. Even more than the last time I talked about my busy life. For instance, I'm selling my property in Copper Harbor, so we can buy a house close to B's school. That's just how it has to be for now, and it's a lot of new learning and understanding for me, but the people I'm working with know what they're doing. Again, I feel supported, and we will make it through.

If you are interested in a sweet residential/commercial property in downtown Copper Harbor, you can see the listing here.

Kind of weird, but it feels like moving in the right direction. Being Braeden's mom has lead me on a new adventure that I never would have imagined for myself.

But he is the sweetest kid I know. Probably because I'm his mama. And I'm so proud. This is what our weekend morning snuggles are like.

The snuggle begins

Sweet...

Then I get the arm wrap around

Snuggly...

And he's in for the kiss!

And Kisses!!!

I don't know how many parents get to snuggle with their 10-year-olds, but his snuggles make all our challenges, past and future, worth it.

He has really gotten to the point where he is helpful, motivated, polite and... well... just easier overall.

I'm so grateful because I sure have taken enough other things on! I feel like it's a milestone for us where he doesn't need to be the center of my attention all the time because he can do more for himself.

I have a feeling life is going to keep unfolding quite beautifully for us.

Have you listened to our latest podcast episode? This one features Mary Wais. It got some great reviews - perhaps because it's more personal. But that woman is a trooper. She really is something.

And as a bonus for our listeners, I added her Behind-the-Scenes post for free for anyone to read. That way you know what those posts are about in case you wish to join in on the scoop. You can get that special bonus here.

Please enjoy. I need to keep packing. At least it's a nice day to drive!
