I hope you don't get jealous. And if you do, maybe you need to make some changes in your life. Easier said than done, of course, but these days, I think anything is possible if you want it bad enough.
I live in Paradise. Now that it's summer, and the sun warms my skin, the trails call my name, the lake beckons my soul, the flowers tickle my senses and the berries are soon to burst -- among other wondrous things -- I'd say I've got it pretty good!
Now that is one side of the story.
Because the rest of the year is winter.
It's cold. It's dark. It's lonely. And it's a lot of work to get ready to even go outside where we then have to do more work just to get to the car. Like shovel. Again.
But wah, wah, right?
Right now it's Paradise, and let me tell you what. Every. Single. Time. I am laying on the beach in perfect conditions or riding down a sweet trail with friends or sniffing the roses or digging in the soil of my garden or checking out the cute men walking down the road, I say Thank you.
I try to be grateful for those moments that a lot of people don't get. The moments a lot of people have to drive really far to experience. The moments I spend my life living in the summer time. And I think to myself, "Wow. This is Paradise. I live in Paradise, and I am grateful."
